Deathless days on reservation roads: the impossibility of capturing swallows in flight

Sleepless in Seattle has been done to exhaustion. It seems the nomad has moved on to deathless days on reservation roads.

Found this somewhat worn and weary sign on the Inchelium side of the Gifford-Inchelium ferry where one makes a westward crossing of Lake Roosevelt into the Colville Indian reservation.

Since I have been out this morning trying to do the impossible and photograph swallows in flight, and thus came home with no images, this seemed like a good understudy sign of the times.

Yes, swallows are back darting through the dawn in swoops and dives all pointed wings and swallow-tailed.

Geese and swallows in the morning: a migratory place.

Deathless days on reservation roads.
